What is Equine Assisted Learning and Healing?

Equine Assisted Learning and Healing is experiential by nature.
It is a short-term approach to real and lasting change in the clients life by permitting it's participants to see, adjust, and gain a better understanding on how to live with confidence, balance, intention and authenticity.

Equine Assisted Learning and Healing is a form of learning from
activities done with a horse or horses.
The activities and how you approach the them,  and what surfaces for you in the process, becomes a metaphor for other areas of your life.
The experiences with the horses can be used in many ways!

*  You can discover many new things about yourself and the way you work on issues.

*  You learn how to develop this information into new strategies for living and working.

*  You can learn flexibility in your day to day life!

Specially trained certified Equine Assisted Learning and Healing
professionals take you through a process with the horses
and facilitate the lessons you are learning.

How does Equine Assisted Learning & Healing work?
You don’t ride the horses.
You play games and interact with them.
They give you immediate feedback about yourself by mirroring your emotions and your behavior.
You learn how you react and how to react differently.
The changes you make are lasting.

Why use horses?

Horses can be intimidating.
Horses are big.
Horses are playful.
Horses are curious.

Horses respond immediately and without judgement.
Horses challenge us to be authentic.
Horses don’t lie and can tell when we do.
Horses know if you mean what you say.

Horses challenge us to be our best.

Why use Lusitano Horses?
Because they are gentle, kind, intuitive and well suited for the work of learning and healing.

Whatever your issues are
they surface with a horse!
